Group research into your Chosen Artist
In the research of our chosen artist, we will find information on artists similar, what type of music and some key facts about the artist. The artist we have chosen is Misterwives as we like their type of music and their music videos as they convey the genre clearly to the audience.
Misterwives have a website in which they advertise their music and other social media in which they use often to promote themselves and their music. The website also contains photos of them, tours dates in which the audience can follow them and support them. It gives news to the audience about new music or albums.

The band consists of a lead singer named Mandy Lee, a drummer Etienne Bowler, bass guitarist Willian Heir, a guitarist Marc Campbell, a multi-instrumentalist Jesse Blum and a saxophonist Mike Murphy. And has been together since 2012, they are still releasing music in 2017 with their newest album Connect the Dots. The most viewed song on their youtube channel is reflections music video which has over 10million and our own house with 4million views.
When researching artists that are similar to Misterwives I found artists that were not well known, however, some were popular in late 2013 early 2014 such as Echosmith, Vinyl Theatre, the colourists and the Smallpools. The artists are similar to the genre is the same and they are in bands or in a small group.
This will help me when making a music video because the similar artists can help us when understanding more about the genre and how to convey it to the audience.
