In our music video, we will be looking into representation and how our music video will come across to the audience. This is important as we need to make sure we are setting the correct representations and are showing what we want in our music video.
Gender
- As our music video is about a group of girls friendship growing it is hard to say whether we are representation gender at all however as there are only females in this music video it shows them as the dominant gender. We decided to only use females as we believe that they have a strong bond of friendship between females and we wanted to show this in our music video. We have used the prop of the bracelet to show this friendship and as females normally wear this we also following female stereotypes.
Age
- Also the use of age in our music video this is very important as we need to clearly display as we need this to make our narrative clear. So we used the younger children who are 4/5 years younger to show this clear age difference and how the younger characters are the older characters when they were younger.
In our music video there are not many representations so therefore I have only analysed gender and age as these were the only representations I felt where involved.
